This Town Hall Meeting, hosted by the Redwood Empire District, is being held to get your input on issues of vital importance to your profession. Mitchel Kaye, PT will discuss payment issues and updates such as changes in Medicare, PT evaluation codes, bundled payments and the impact of Third Party Administrators on the payment and practice of physical therapy. Chris Reed, PT, MPT, ATC, OCS will cover important bills in the legislature that may have an impact on physical therapy. Bring your questions about any physical therapy topic. We encourage ALL PHYSICAL THERAPY PROFESSIONALS to attend.

Speakers

Chris Reed, PT, MPT, ATC, OCS is an outpatient orthopedic physical therapist with Agile Physical Therapy in Palo Alto, CA. He graduated with a BS in Exercise and Sports Sciences from Oregon State University in 1998 and received his Masters of Physical Therapy from Mount Saint Mary’s College in 2000. Chris has been an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist since 2006. He has served in leadership roles with multiple organizations, including CPTA, throughout his career. Currently Chris is the Chair of the Government Affairs Committee, and a Trustee of the CAL-PT-PAC.


Mitchel Kaye, PT is a graduate of the University of Southern California Physical Therapy program. He has served as the Director of Quality Assurance for PTPN, a national network of private practices, for the past 14 years. Mitch’s 28 years of clinical practice experience includes working in acute care, outpatient and private practice settings. He also served as a full-time Medicare Consultant. Current Association activities include serving on both the CPTA Payment Policy Committee as well as on the CPTA Quality Practice Committee. He is an Assembly Rep for Greater Los Angeles District and is a previous CPTA Board of Directors member. Mitch has served on numerous committees for the American Physical Therapy Association, the CPTA, the Physical Therapy Board of CA and the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy.
