Dr. Moore oversees the Association's federal, state, regulatory, and payment policy initiatives. Join Dr. Moore and CA PPG for our first meeting of 2015. Dr. Moore will be review APTA’s Legislative, Political and Payment actions from 2014. Dr. Moore will be review APTA’s priorities for 2015 and how they may impact physical therapy practices.

 

Objectives:

 

·        Understand APTA’s priorities for 2015

·        Understand Health Care Reform’s impact on PT private practice

·        Understand Medicare’s Cap and Exception Process

·        Understand initiatives to advance the profession and PT’s in private practice

 

Chris Powers, PhD, PT, FACSM, FAPTA

President – California Physical Therapy Association

 

Dr. Powers is the President of CPTA. He is the founder and owner of the Movement Performance Institute in Los Angeles. In addition, he is a Professor in the Department of Biokinesiology & Physical Therapy, and Co-Director of the Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Laboratory at the University of Southern California. Dr. Powers will be introducing and discussing CPTA’s new branding and public relations program.

7:00 – 9:30 pm Dinner Meeting and Speakers
