Course Objectives

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the latest research on the underlying cause of Pusher Syndrome
  • Learn effective treatment activities that recalibrates of the perception of postural vertical
  • Understand how recalibration is used throughout a treatment approach that drives recruitment of the affected extremities to speed recovery, promote long term resolution of the perception of vertical, and reduce stress for both the client and therapist
  • Gain awareness of the use of sensory integration techniques with acquired brain injury client in the treatment of altered perceptions of vertical
