Course Description

This Town Hall Meeting, hosted by the San Jose District, is being held to get your input on issues of vital importance to your profession. Mitchel Kaye, PT will discuss payment issues and updates such as changes in Medicare, PT evalution codes, bundled payments and the impact of Third Party Administrators on the payment and practice of physical therapy. Join us for this interactive meeting. Bring your questions about any physical therapy topic. We encourage all physical therapy professionals to attend. This meeting is pending CEU approval.

Course Objectives

Following this meeting, the participant will be able to:

1. Learn how to best position yourself for participation in bundled payment models
2. Become familiar with the use of the new physical therapy evaluation codes
3. Understand the impact of Third Party Administrators on the payment and practice of physical therapy
4. Learn about changes and updates in Medicare

Mitchel Kaye, PT is a graduate of the University of Southern California Physical Therapy program. He has served as the Director of Quality Assurance for PTPN, a national network of private practices, for the past 14 years.

Mitch’s 28 years of clinical practice experience includes working in acute care, outpatient and private practice settings. He also served as a full-time Medicare Consultant.

Current Association activities include serving on both the CPTA Payment Policy Committee as well as on the CPTA Quality Practice Committee. He is an Assembly Rep for Greater Los Angeles District and is a previous CPTA Board of Directors member. Mitch has served on numerous committees for the American Physical Therapy Association, the CPTA, the Physical Therapy Board of CA and the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy.
