Overview

This is the most exciting time to be a PT or PTA in California in recent history. Our profession has advanced to the doctorate level, achieved direct access and we are recognized as the experts in human movement and function. The future of physical therapy is now in your hands as upcoming new professionals. CPTA wants to make sure that you have every tool you need to successfully enter the workforce and continue advancing our profession. Join us for the California Student Conclave April 29, 2017 at CSU, Fresno and network with PT and PTA students, attend cutting-edge lectures, meet recruiters and see how you can get involved with CPTA and make a difference.

This event will bring nearly 150 PT and PTA students representing over 25 schools to one location giving students the opportunity to prepare for their futures post-graduation and start networking today!

Learn what they don't teach you in class including preparing for the NPTE, negotiating salaries and managing your financial future, how to handle complex patient cases and more.

Interact

Meet hundreds of active PT & PTA students from across California during interactive educational sessions and social events. You may even meet your future employer!

Get Involved

Find out how you can impact our profession, collaborate with other allied health professionals and stay involved post-graduation. Share this flyer with your classmates.

What Should I Bring?

  • Copies of your resume for resume workshop and to hand to recruiters

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation requests must be received in writing, and may be emailed to awiesemann@ccapta.org. Full refund less 20% administrative fee if cancellation is received by April 21, 2016. No refunds after April 21, 2017.

A prime location in Fresno are hotels near the RiverPark Shopping Center. Located off of the highway 41 freeway, 10 to 15 minutes from campus, RiverPark offers entertainment, restaurants, shopping and more. 

 

Located just west of Fresno State is Clovis, California. We invite PT and PTA Professionals, CPTA Districts, PT and PTA Programs and businesses to  purchase Scholarships on behalf of students so that they can attend this year. By purchasing a scholarship, you can help a student that works in your clinic, attends your lectures, or that volunteers at District events attend Conclave. These students are the future of our profession and we want to make sure it is a bright one! Submit your scholarship online or complete the attached form.

Student Bowl

The 2017 Student Bowl will be held on the first evening of Conclave and will include teams of 3-5 persons per PT or PTA program that will compete in a fast paced jeopardy style competition to see which PT and PTA program has the "brainiest" students! Learn more


Professional Volunteers

Every year, over 180 students volunteer their time at our Annual Conference. It's our turn to help them and make sure their event is a success. We are looking for 10 active CPTA PTs and PTAs to assist with on-site logistics. Sign up today!

Save the date and start planning now! The 2018 California Student Conclave will be in Los Angeles at Mount Saint Mary's University! 

 

Calling all speakers!

If you are interested in presenting at the California Student Conclave, please submit your proposal to CPTA by clicking here. Speakers,topics, and format will be discussed at the March 2018 CPTA Education Committee meeting. Contact Rita Pierson with questions. suggestions, or recommendations.
