Inaugural Reseach Symposium "The Science of Running" a Success!
The California Physical Therapy Association and CAL-PT-FUND partnered to sponsor the inaugural Research Symposim "The Science of Running" in Los Angeles, CA November 9-10, 2013. Featuring world reknowned speakers on biomechanics and running, this event brought attendees from all over the country to LA. Attendees spent two days in session and joined the speakers and course sponsors for a reception and demonstrations at the Movement Performance Institute owned by Chris Powers, PT, PhD, FAPTA. This event raised over $20,000 for the CAL-PT-FUND to support physical therapy research grants distributed to emerging researchers in California. "Pints For a Cause" Event at 2013 CPTA Annual Conference a Hit!
Over 100 supporters of physical therapy reserach joined us for our new event "Pints for a Cause" at the 2013 CPTA Annual Conference in Pasadena, CA September 20th. Attendees spent the evening networking with other researchers, mentoring students interested in research careers and meeting with CAL-PT-FUND Board Members to see what's in store for the future.
