INSTRUCTIONS:

1) All abstracts and submission forms should be submitted via email to rpierson@ccapta.org no later than May 15, 2016. Abstracts will not be considered without the abstract submission form. You will be notified by August 1, 2016 if your abstract is accepted for presentation. Podium presentations will receive complimentary registration.

2) Limit of two submissions per person.

3) Abstracts are limited to 500 words not including title, authors and headings. It should be written in a word document using single space, 12 point, Time Roman font. Do not send a .pdf file.

4) In addition to the abstract submission form, please provide a summary of no more than 50 words for publication in the conference on-site program, in the event your presentation is accepted.

5) Indicate the category that best describes your abstract.

  • Original Scientific Investigation
  • Theory/Special Interest Report
  • Case Study or Case Series
  • Evidence Review or Document
  • Educational Program Description
  • Clinical or Public Health Program Description

6) Abstract formatting guidelines: (See attached for an abstract example and the Criteria used to Evaluate Abstracts)

The heading of the abstract should include:

1. Title: all CAPS and bolded.

2. Authors: listed last name first followed by initials (the first author should be the presenting author).

3. The institution in which the research was conducted should follow the authors.

4. A blank line should separate the heading from the body of the abstract.


The body of the abstract should contain the following headings. Each should be in all CAPS and bolded.
