This course is targeted towards the mechanisms, biomechanical assessments, diagnosis and treatment of the overhead athlete. This ½ – day course will bring together leading clinicians and researchers who evaluate and treat individuals with high functional demands related to throwing and hitting sports.  This course will present the mechanics of throwing and hitting, and methods for evaluating the throwing and hitting athlete. Current research, clinical expertise, and reasoning will be used to enable the evaluation and management of athletes involved in throwing and hitting sports. This course will occur on the day prior to the USC Shoulder Update 2018. This course is designed for physical therapists, athletic trainers, occupational therapists, performance specialists, and physicians who work with overhead athletes.
