What We Need

Student Members are needed to assist at registration, information desk, scanning badges at educational sessions, checking badges at the Exhibit Hall entrance, and a variety of other supportive services.Your shift can be either Friday, Saturday or Sunday and will last 2-3 hours.


No experience necessary; however, this offer is available only to Student Members. 


Volunteering is a great way to serve your association, meet other students and members, and perhaps your future employer!


The cost for volunteers is just $95 for the entire conference - that's a savings of almost $100 of regular student member registration!

Student Volunteer T-Shirt Design Contest

Student volunteers will be easy to spot in their official Student Volunteer T-Shirt at Tri-State PT Conference this year in Las Vegas, NV.

Each year, we give our student volunteers the opportunity to design the shirts they have to wear during their shift. Submit your design directly to Kristy Murchison for this year's shirt and yours could be the lucky winner! 

All entries will be put to the test during the vote July 19, 2019. The design that receives the most votes will be featured at Conference!

Deadline: July 19, 2019
Voting Period: July 22-25, 2019

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation requests must be received in writing, and may be emailed to awiesemann@ccapta.org. Full refund less 20% administration fee if cancellation is received by September 23, 2019. 50% refund if received by October 4, 2019. No refunds after October 4, 2019.


Job Descriptions

As a student volunteer, there are a few general guidelines that we ask you to follow:


1. Smile! Greet attendees as you meet them and thank them for attending conference.

2. You will be provided a Student Volunteer t-shirt upon check in at Student Volunteer Registration. You must wear your shirt during your volunteer time.

3. Please arrive to your assigned area at least 5 minutes prior to the start of your shift. This will allow appropriate time for a shift change and brief orientation.

4. Eating and drinking during your shift should be kept to a minimum. All shifts over the lunch hour have been assigned to allow for meal times. You will either eat lunch before or after your shift, not during.

5. Remember, that during your shift, you are a representative of CPTA. Please be professional and courteous at all times.

6. Be sure to tell us about your experience! An email with an evaluation form will be sent following conference. We ask that you take a few minutes to tell us your thoughts.

You will assisting attendees in navigating the conference mobile app.


Educational Session Greeter

You will be scanning attendee badges prior to them entering educational sessions.

You will checking attendee badges at the entrance of the exhibit hall.


Awards Celebration

You will be assisting in the set up and break down of the Awards Celebration.


CAL-PT-FUND Baggage Check

You will attending to attendee luggage and logging their donations.


CPTA Voting Station

You will be assisting members in navigating the voting website.
