This Town Hall Meeting, hosted by the Orange County District, is being held to get your input on issues of vital importance to your profession. Stephanie Kaplan, PT, DPT, will discuss how treating patients seems easy, but getting paid is HARD! Amid the constantly changing laws, regulations and standards from CMS and other insurance carriers, getting paid is more challenging than ever. “Pay for performance” will be covered, as well as updates on proper use of functional outcome tools and basic documentation tips to justify medical necessity. Attend this meeting to hear important tips to maximize your revenue. We encourage ALL PHYSICAL THERAPY PROFESSIONALS to attend.

Speaker information

Stephanie Kaplan, PT, DPT is the Hospital Administrator and Director of Rehabilitation at Casa Colina Hospitals and Centers for Rehabilitation in Pomona, CA. With over 19 years of clinical and leadership experience, Dr, Kaplan’s focus has been on treating persons with neurologic impairments, research on falls in the rehab setting and program development. She has experience implementing three electronic health record systems and reviewing charts for CMS audits. She is currently a member of the Payment Policy Committee of the CPTA and former Board Member for CPTA. Dr. Kaplan also serves as a CARF surveyor.
