Course Description

During this townhall-style webinar, CPTA legal counsel and experts will provide updates and answer questions on COVID-19 issues relevant to physical therapy professionals. On the agenda for this webinar are:

  • Governor Newsom’s Executive Orders and current DCA practice waivers
  • State and federal relief programs for employers and employees
  • Employment questions answered, including use of temporary employees, employer responsibility and liability, employee rights and responsibilities, and more
  • What’s on the horizon for physical therapists and physical therapist assistants

Course Objectives

Following this webinar, the participant will be able to:

  • Understand the impact on business under the Governor's Executive Order
  • Understand the types of relief available
  • Understand the layoff guidelines and considerations under CA law
