CPTA Board Members
The Chapter Board is comprised of nine individuals (five officers and four directors) who are elected by the membership and charged with developing the vision, mission and financial oversight of the organization.
Serves as the chief elected officer, representing the entire membership and the best interests of the organization. Exercises personal leadership in the motivation of other officers, board members, committee and task force members, staff, and the membership. Influences the establishment of goals and objectives for the organizational performance and effectiveness.
Serves as Speaker of the Assembly of Representatives to facilitate the business of the Chapter. Serves as a member of the CPTA Board and the Chapter Executive Committee, in implementing the directives of the Assembly and the CPTA Board. Keeps abreast of the activities of the Chapter in the event it becomes necessary to assume the duties of the President.
Serves as an elected officer of the CPTA Board. Supervises the overall fiscal operation of the Chapter and appraises the Assembly and the CPTA Board of the fiscal impacts of actions being considered.
Serves as an elected officer of the CPTA Board. Prepares minutes of the CPTA Board and Assembly of Representatives.
Organize and lead the California Chapter delegation in all deliberations relative to annual APTA House of Delegates activities. Serve as a member of the CPTA Board. Michael is the Board liaison to the Awards committee.
Serves as a Director on the CPTA Board, representing the membership at large. Rick is the Chairperson and Board liaison to our Payment Policy committee. He also serves as the Board liaison to our Government Affairs committee.
Serves as a Director on the CPTA Board, representing the membership at large. Kelley sits as a member on the Education and Membership & Communications committee.
Serves as a Director on the CPTA Board, representing the membership at large. Emeka is the Board liaison to the CAL-PT-PAC.
Serves as a Director on the CPTA Board, representing the membership at large. Alyssa serves as our Board liaison to the Membership & Communications committee.
The PTA Caucus Representative is an active participant in our Chapter Delegation to APTA’s House of Delegates. The PTA Caucus Rep raises issues related to the work and development of physical therapist assistants and provides our delegation with the physical therapist assistant's perspective on motions coming before the House. They also attend the APTA House of Delegates, PTA Caucus meetings, and other PTA related meetings as able.
